The objective of developing researches at EEUSP has been defined by generating new knowledge, theoretical tests, and orientation for applying practice-produced knowledge. Furthermore, these activities are designed to stimulate the development of good-quality researches, aiming at the quality improvement of nursing assistance and training, and the maintenance of excellence graduation studies. In the sense of promoting and favoring the build-up of nursing knowledge, the Committee organizes and keeps up a systematized databank of research projects and sub-projects that include records of researchers, scholars, financing institutions, and publications; and a reference system related to financing agencies, and seeks to promote post-doctorate programs.

The scientific initiation has become a priority activity, including more and more undergraduate students into scientific investigation development.

There are 55 research groups led by professors that develop Research Lines primarily articulated towards assistive and organizational areas which are linked to the concentration areas of Graduate Programs.
