Dear students and teachers of the Programs linked to the EE Postgraduate Committee, (PPGE, PROESA, PPGEn and MPAPS).
In order to guarantee integrity and ethics in the production of scientific and academic texts, the Graduate Committee strongly recommends that students:
- Submit your work to the Turnitin Platform, prior to registering for the Qualifying Exam (QE) and submitting your dissertation/thesis digitally, for similarity verification purposes.
- Make any corrections.
- After making corrections, resubmit your work to the Platform and submit the similarity report to your advisor for review.
- After your advisor has reviewed it, submit the similarity report when registering for the Qualifying Exam and submitting your dissertation/thesis digitally, checking the corresponding options in the Registration Form or the Deposit Form, as applicable.
To access the Turnitin Platform, send a message to the EEUSP Library (bibee@usp.br) requesting the creation of an account and providing full name, USP number and email.

The Information Technology Superintendence (STI) is launching the USP Digital Card (USP e-Card) through the Piracicaba Information Technology Center (CeTI-LQ), intended for students, faculty and staff of the University. The USP e-Card meets the demands of the Pro-Rectorates of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies and the Superintendence of Social Welfare (SAS).
The application is available in the Apple and Google Play stores and can be accessed using the USP user’s unique password. In addition to the image on the mobile device, the USP e-Card features the new use of the QR-Code (Quick Response Code), which is a temporarily updated security key for user identification when accessing the
University’s corporate systems. Just like the physical card, the USP e-Card is personal and non-transferable.
New students (undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral) will have access to the USP e-Card when they receive their institutional number, without having to wait for the physical cards to be produced. To do so, it will be necessary to upload the digital photograph and request the card, as described in item 6. The request must be authorized by the Graduate Service.
Another advantage of the application is that the data will be updated automatically.
The restaurant control system, Rucard 2.0, will be the first to use the e-Card. Identification verification photos in restaurants will continue to exist in the same way as it is done today with the physical card.
It is important to note that the USP e-Card does not guarantee that the benefit of half-price tickets for cultural and sporting events can be offered without the need to present some other type of supporting document.
Watch the video, available at: http://iptv.usp.br/portal/video.action?idItem=37663, to understand a little more about how the application works.
